That is in big type because it is so important, if you don’t then quite frankly you may as well give up. The ‘id’ part of Construct id stands for Information Design, we can’t stress how important it is to get your content and structure right before we even start the design process. Get the info right and everything else falls into place.
So… assuming you have great content and a really engaging user experience (did we say that we can help you with that?), then these are the things you should be aware of:
SEO requires constant work
Yeah, sorry about that. However with a few steps you can get a really good handle on it all as a starting point. The first thing to do is to install the Yoast SEO plug-in to your WordPress site if it isn’t already there (we install it as a matter of course on all sites). Then you can do an SEO Audit of your site

1. Check for canonical URLs
Here we go with the jargon. Basically all it means is typing in your domain name with and without the www bit. So you can type https://constructid.com or https://www.constructid.com and get to the same page. However, a search engine will see this as two different pages and index separately and get a little bit confused. Unless that is you have set a canonical url which all variants of your url redirect to.

2. Optimise your meta descriptions
These are the bits of text that appear below titles in search engine results. Yoast allows you to define them for each page of your site, like this:
The descriptions should be a simple and succinct summary of what that page is about.
3. Ensure all of your pages are being indexed
Sometimes Google, being fundamentally lazy and expecting to be spoon fed all the time, misses out pages of a site when it indexes it. You can find out if it has missed any of yours by typing site:yourwebsitesurl.com in the search bar, this brings up the number of pages Google has indexed for that site. Under the search bar is the bit where it says ‘About xxxx results’ the number in there should tally up with the number of pages on your site.
Those three steps will give you a snapshot of where your site is at in SEO terms – rectifying any omissions will get it performing to it’s optimum potential.
